Pidgeon is a rock band from San Francisco that is mostly noisy, somewhat pretty and, generally, not as smart as we act. We have three guitarists if you don't call the bass a guitar (four if you do), one singer, one singer/screamer, and one screamer. We try to write catchy songs but not "I've-heard-that-before" catchy. Our sucess or failure in that regard is, of course, relative and ultimately for dis-enfranchised teenagers to decide. We pay due tribute to our influences but believe, given their obvious genius as a reference point, that we should be able to add to the things we have learned and not subtract from them (Stooges rip-off rock culture we're a-lookin at you). It would be difficult to site one particular act as a descriptive metaphore for our sound, but we agree that a Pixies-Motorhead-Cardigans combo comes as close as any. With all that pre-requisite introductory bull crap out of the way, thank you a million times for visiting our home-made site, we hope you enjoy the free cuts available, and please, if you like us, tell a friend and copy, copy, copy away. Oh, and, like, buy our record. It comes out July 27th, 2004 on Absolutely Kosher Records. And, eat at Joe's Ice Cream, 18th and Geary.

If you want music history, we suggest you buy a book, although we'll happily pretend we know all sorts of stuff we don't actually know. If you're a broke ass rock band looking for a crappy website (like ours) to be made for you cheap, you can contact us for that too. You have to put it up yourself, but we can give you all the parts you need on a CD that you can give to a host type orginization. We'll also do logo, letterhead, liner notes, etc. but we don't really know how much that type of work costs so have an amount you can pay in mind when you write. Yay! Oh, and we joke around a lot so if you read something that offends you we're probably joking around. Unless yer a dickwad, in which case you need to lighten up, dickwad. Um, yay! We'll also give music lessons. Can you tell we need money?
